I have been an Amazon customer for a number of years now and seem the site is going up in business and down in appearance, presentation and ad quality. Looks as though they are heading to be an eBay quality site, seems like their content is going the same way but different graphics. eBay has many thousands of ads, many that are completely annoying and seems Amazon is accepting the same presentation. When sorting items by lower price to work your way up they have what seems hundreds if not thousands of sellers selling products for $0.01 as an example but the shipping thru the roof, just because they want to be in front of the listings! Buyer BEWARE, look closely if something seems to good to be true it really isn't.. check the shipping charges!!! Now that eBay is infiltrated by thousands of Chinese, Taiwan and similar Countries they are taking over the product listings, Some selling the same item with countless different entries so you really cannot see much of any other sellers, USA or otherwise. Now Amazon has adopted the same with their third party sellers and their 1 cent prices and some truly unreasonable shipping prices. One more thing, using a search in amazon for instance I searched for brass nuts and bolts, page after page of results but more than 1/2 - 3/4 of the results were for everything but what I was interested in purchasing. Almost seems like screw the consumer and lets show him everything and mostly not what they want.
Overall Amazon has to go over and review their policies and regulations for their sellers, it is really going in a bad direction.
